Little Miss South Dakota International~ages 5-6 on October 1, 2022. Young Miss South Dakota International~ ages 7-9 on October 1, 2022. Junior Miss South Dakota International~ ages 10-12 on October 1, 2022.

The young ladies that compete are talented, however, no talent is required or judged.

A natural pageant does not include fake hair, fake teeth or unnecessary make-up. The only make-up Little Miss and Young Miss contestants can wear is black mascara and clear lip gloss.

The youth contestants wait until intermission and then change in the dressing rooms with their mother or other registered female attendant that their mother/guardian chooses.

Contestants do not need to bring lunch. Lunch will be catered in for all contestants. Please notify the director if your contestant has any food allergies.

Only pageant staff members will be allowed in the practice areas of the pageant during the rehearsal and interviews. Contestants will be able to leave for dinner break at 3:00pm and need to return dressed in their opening number black outfit by 5:00pm. Parents and guests can enter the auditorium after 5:30pm.

The pageant is a two day event with interviews on Saturday, October 15th and the pageant on Sunday, October 16th, A complete updated itinerary will be emailed to the parent/guardian after the application and entry fee are received.

No. Little Miss, Young Miss and Junior Miss contestants are not allowed to wear fake hair or teeth as these competitions are a natural pageant. The only make up allowed is black mascara and clear lip gloss. Any variance from this will result in points being deducted from the contestants score.

All contestant applications & entry fees need to be received by September 15, 2022. Deadlines will be strictly enforced, please allow enough time for mail to ensure that your mail is received by the September 15, 2022 deadline.
